Daniel Price is the Chief Strategy Officer of Hunt Energy, where he develops and commercializes new business strategies at the convergence of energy, digital infrastructure, and communications, translating emerging market needs and technologies into scalable infrastructure solutions.
Previously, Mr. Price was the founding President of Hunt Energy Network, building the company from start-up into a distributed network of energy resources participating in wholesale electricity markets. Earlier, as CTO of Sharyland Utilities, he led innovation across information and operations technology after beginning his Hunt career as part of the team that launched the greenfield electric utility. He has also led ventures in renewable energy, advanced metering, and oil and gas financial systems.
Mr. Price earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington. His research focused on surface science spectroscopy and microscopy, including the design and construction of an electron microscope used in his experimental work. He holds several patents in metering technology and distributed energy control.
Mr. Price is also Chairman and a founding board member of Village Tech Schools, a pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade charter school focused on innovation and design thinking.
